Just returned from a few days on the boat, cruising to Port Ludlow for a Tollycraft Boating Club cruise.
The weather was decent, improving as the weekend ended. Smooth waters made cruising a pleasure.
While at Port Ludlow, we gathered for luch at the Harbormaster Restaurant and were joined by Mr. “Tolly” Tollefson, the founder and long-time owner of Tollycraft Yachts. Tolly is a celebrity in Northwest boating, and at 99 is an amazing man to talk with. A few of us had the distinct pleasure to share his table for lunch and enoyed hearing his stories of cruising and boat-building.
The weather was much too nice to go home on Sunday, so I decided to stay out another day. I joined “Tolly Time II” and “Otter” at Point Hudson for another great day.
A great trip. I have a few maintenance projects on the list before the next trip- a club cruise to Seattle’s Bell Harbor in mid-May…
